One Purpose - Personal Devotion - Shared Responsibility

Team church exists to make a life-changing impact on our community and our world. We believe the good news of Jesus Christ is a message that is for all people for all times. The way in which Team Church both shares that message and practically lives it out is through One Purpose, Shared Responsibility and Personal Devotion.

One Purpose

Reach people where they are and lead them to full devotion in Jesus Christ.

Our commitment is to impact and influence people with the truth and grace of Jesus Christ no matter who they are or what they believe.  Some people have no interest in God at all; others have given up on church because of bad experiences. Others are looking for a church where they can live out their purpose; still others may be new to the Charlotte area and are looking for a place to make a difference.  In every case, Team Church is committed to reaching those people and then leading them into a devoted, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  We accomplish this by being relevant and relational.  Our Sunday Services are high energy, extremely practical, and easy-to-apply to daily life.  They are a great place to start, but are only the beginning.  We believe that our purpose can only be accomplished when we work together as a team and each member is sharing responsibilities.

Personal Devotion

Prayer - Bible - Worship

The more time you spend getting to know Jesus Christ, the more likely you are to embrace the Shared Responsibility.  Those values are His values!  And by making Personal Devotion a regular, disciplined part of our every day life, we discover the joy of a personal, intimate relationship with our Savior.  Pursuing Personal Devotion is primarily (though not exhaustively) lived out in these three ways:

Prayer - Communicating daily with God and listening to Him through prayer.

Bible - Having daily interaction with God through reading the Bible, developing a discipline of consistent quiet times.  We are committed to helping you grow in this step, click here for some resources we encourage you to take advantage of as you develop this discipline.

Worship - Personal, individual worship and church-wide group worship are both essential to becoming a fully devoted Christ-follower. We can’t have one to the exclusion of the other. The personal worship that fits us as individuals promotes intimacy with God. The Sunday morning worship with the church family develops spiritual maturity and significant relationships. The two taken together result in a lifestyle of worship that is irresistible!

Shared Responsibility

Love - Serve - Give - Share

At Team Church, there are four responsibilities every member assumes. Each one is critical to the church's health and the individual's spiritual growth.

Love One Another - People matter to God, therefore they matter to us. Jesus said the greatest commandment was to love God and love people. At Team Church, we take this seriously and make people a priority.  Loving one another means looking out for each other, holding each other accountable, encouraging one another and meeting practical needs for one another.  The best way in which Love takes place is through our Home Teams: Groups of people who gather together to make friends, study the Bible, and care for each other.

Serve the Church - Jesus said that he came not to be served, but to serve.  And so we take that value as our own and serve both inside the church and outside in our community.  We believe that when people serve each other, the church and community benefit from each person's skills, talents and passions.  In addition, each member gets to live out their purpose in a significant way

Give to God through the Church - Giving of our finances is the litmus test for where our hearts and values actually reside. Jesus said that our treasures and our hearts are intertwined.  When we givegenerously of our finances, we live as good stewards of everything God has loaned to us, and we support the vision and mission of the Church. Giving is an act of worship, an act of obedience and an act of living generously.

Share Jesus with Others - Simply put, we place a high value on investing in people's lives and inviting them to hear the gospel of Christ.  All people need to hear about Jesus Christ, and the message of salvation.  We invest in people's lives - showing them we genuinely care for them, and we invite them to hear about Christ.
